Challenges Mixed Media

Mixed media dream and imagination

April 29, 2019

Hi everyone!

New week, new projects!
This is my favorite make of April. It is a mixed media card, made for the weekly challenge in the pop-up lift challenge group I’m in:)
I started by stamping some distress on to my glass surface from Tim Holtz and sprayed it with some water to get a watercolor look. I swiped the paper into the different puddles of color and dried with my heat tool.

Then I found some background stamps I like, and bearly inked them, so they would be just in the background as well. The stamps I used are from Studiolight and Finnabair.
A little paint on a plastic card to make some stripes, and little paint on a bottle lid to make circles.
Then I glued some washi in some kind of cross on the paper, I used two different ones, and just placed them randomly into each other. To Get the washi to stick, I used distress collage medium under and over the tape.

I found some chipboard to match my «dream big» saying, and painted them with Finnabairs sparks paint, and added some wax on the edges when it was dry.
For panles, I used some of my gel press prints.
I have used rub-on from Tim Holtz, stickles from Ranger, and enamel dots for embellishment.
It was a really fun project to make.

Have a wonderful week everyone!
